Pro Liberator contains nature's most potent antioxidants, called proanthocyanidins, which serve as nutrients. These plant products are derived from the bioflavonoid family of compounds. Pro Liberator is formulated to help rid the body of volatile oxygen free radicals, which form during daily activity and increase during exercise or stress. Pro Liberator meets them head on and flushes them out of the body before they can harm you.

  • 50 Times more powerful than Vitamin E!
  • 20 Times more powerful than Vitamin C!
  • 100% Safe and Natural Free Radical Protection!
  • Free Radicals - the cause of disease and aging

In all situations of disease, ill health, injury or aging, there is tissue damage at the cellular level. This tissue damage can occur quickly as with injuries or slowly over time as in degenerative disease. Free radicals are the most common cause of this tissue damage and free radicals have been linked to every known disease by more than 6000 scientific studies.

"Very few individuals, if any, reach their potential maximum life span. They die instead prematurely of a wide variety of diseases - the vast majority being "free radical" diseases."
    -Denham Harman M.D., Ph.D., 1984

Free radicals are molecules that are over-reactive because they are unbalanced electronically (they contain an unpaired electron.) In the attempt to become balanced they rob electrons from the molecules that make up the cells in your body, damaging or destroying them.

Controllable amounts of free radicals are formed during normal cellular functions, but excess free radicals can result from drugs, air pollution, tobacco smoke, pesticides, herbicides, chemicals in our food and water, allergic reactions, emotional upsets, excessive exercise, and even an excess of certain dietary substances such as fats.

Free radicals damage cell structure and reduce the cell's ability to function. One example is aged, leathery skin. Here the cell walls have become rigid due to free radical damage. Just as metal fences can rust with age, our bodies are "rusting" due to damage from free radicals.

By helping to deactivate free radials, malfunctions of the circulatory and immune systems are diminished and aging slows. Proanthocyanidins are one of the most valuable nutrients you can take and will make you look and feel better!

    Your Bodies Defense

Fortunately, there are special nutrients, called antioxidants that protect against free radical damage. They offer a powerful nutritional tool to prevent illness and even slow down aging. Examples of antioxidant nutrients are Vitamins A, C & E and the minerals zinc and selenium.

And now, new to most Americans, is a super potent antioxidant commonly known as Proanthocyanidins. These active ingredients are the most potent, natural, free radical scavengers yet discovered. In tests done to measure the ability of substances to neutralize free radicals, proanthocyanidins proved to be 20 times more powerful than Vitamin C and 50 times more powerful than Vitamin E!

    The Amazing Discovery

The research which led to the discovery and isolation of Oligomeric Proanthocyanidins or OPC's can be traced back as long ago as the winter of 1535 when French explorer Jacques Cartier attempted to sail up what is now known as the St. Lawrence River in Canada. The river froze, trapping his ship and crew.

Cartier and his crew tried to survive the best they could, but lacking fresh fruit and vegetables, they soon fell victim to scurvy. Some 25 crew members perished before being rescued by the friendly Quebec Indians.

The Indians introduced Cartier and his crew to a tea they had brewed from the bark of pine trees growing in the area. The tea eliminated the crew's nutritional deficiencies and helped save their lives. Cartier wrote of this amazing discovery in his journal titled 'Voyages Au Canada'.

More than 400 years later French professor Jacques Masquelier, on assignment at the University of Quebec doing bioflavonoid research, read Cartier's book and was particularly intrigued by his documentation. Dr. Masquelier picked up on Cartier's revelations and after considerable testing was able to isolate the active components in the bark of this unique pine tree.

Grape Seed and Grape Skin Extract

"Who would have thought that the unassuming little grape seed could pack so much medicinal power?"

    The Studies

Professor Jacques Masquelier is truly the father of OPC's. He discovered them, he isolated them, he characterized them, and he named them. He conducted or oversaw numerous clinical trials, tests and studies to establish the safety and efficiency of OPC's.

For over 20 years Professor Masquelier shepherded his discovery and invention through rigorous pharmaceutical testing. This testing showed OPC's to be virtually free of side effects and totally non-carcinogenic.

One of the characteristics that impressed Professor Masquelier the most was the high bioavailability of OPC's. All proanthocyanidins, whether they are extracted from pine bark, grape seed, grape skin, are naturally bioavailable. That means they can be rapidly absorbed and transported throughout the body. Within one hour of ingestion, OPC's can be detected in human saliva. Testing suggests that OPC's have bioavailability levels as high as 95%.

Proanthocyanidins are water-soluble and so are easily utilized by the body. Within 20 minutes much of it is absorbed and on the way to your tissues. They remain in the body for 72 hours where they affix themselves to both the inside and the outside of cell membranes, protecting them from free radicals and destructive enzymes. They also work with other vitamins. For example, they reinforce the function of vitamin C and actually help the vitamin C stay active longer.

Pro Liberator delivers the power of all these flavanoids in a convenient, alcohol-free form to help your body fight free radicals and the damage they cause. A unique process, which uses only natural ingredients, makes our ingredients and it's environmentally friendly to produce as no toxic chemicals go down the drain.

It is for these reasons Pro Liberator contains 400 mg of these fantastic OPC's from a blend of grape seed, grape skin, and pine bark extract! In most cases store brand products like this contain 50 to 70% less OPC's per serving!

    The French Paradox

For years, scientists have studied the phenomenon know as the "French Paradox". The French have a diet filled with saturated fat and cholesterol, yet they have the lowest rate of heart disease of any western society - nearly half that of the U.S. Why? Some scientists believe the answer lies in the red wine the French drink - specifically, the polyphenolic biofalvonoids concentrated inside the grape seed, which end up in the wine. In fact, that's why some experts believe that red wine is more healthful than white, since red wine is fermented with seeds while white is not.

The OPC's in red wine are some of the most powerful antioxidants yet discovered. This is why we have chosen to include 100 mg of Red Wine extract in this fantastic product.

    Green Tea Leaf Extract

The health benefits of green tea date back hundreds of years. And research on the health benefits of green tea has been on going for the last 20 years. Read More...

In areas of the world where green tea is consumed on a regular basis, deaths rates are significantly lower than those that don't. Pro Liberator provides you the equivalent of one ten-ounce cup of freshly brewed green tea per serving with about one half the caffeine that is in one cup of coffee.

It is suggested that you start out by taking approximately 1 mg. for every pound of body weight. Do this for the first week to saturate your tissues. Then continue with 2 capsules a day to replace what is lost each day.

More Research Supporting Benefits of Antioxidants

    By Allen S. Josephs, M.D.

There were two articles that appeared in medical literature this month that were of a related and significant nature and I felt they warranted a newsletter. In a study out of Spain, researchers indicated that mitochondria (the power plants of our cells) are both a major source of oxidants as well as a target for the damaging effect of these oxidant molecules. Mitochondrial oxidative damage appears to be a cause rather than a consequence of cellular aging. I had previously indicated in a recent newsletter that years ago the primary theory for cellular aging was known as apoptosis. In apoptosis it is felt that every cell has a fixed number of cell divisions following which over time the cell ceases to function. The study out of Spain along with many others counter this argument indicating that mitochondrial function is impaired primarily because of the pro-oxidants that are produced by the mitochondria. The researchers further go on to indicate that this oxidative damage contributes to DNA mutations which in turn leads to further malfunction of the cell.

In a related article published this month in the journal Mutagenesis, researchers from Norway investigated the effects of antioxidant supplementation on chromosomal damage. A three-month antioxidant supplementation trial was conducted on 28 patients who had suffered a heart attack and 57 healthy individuals. The treated group was given a daily dose of vitamin C, vitamin E, beta carotene and selenium. White cells were collected at the beginning and end of the supplementation period and were subsequently stimulated to look for evidence of chromosomal damage. The individuals who received supplementation with antioxidants had a statistically significant decrease in the percentage of cells with chromosomal damage. Prior to the treatment, chromosomal damage could be induced in 63% of the cells and after treatment, only 27%. The largest positive effect with supplementation was seen in smokers. Those treated with the supplements only had 12% abnormal cells compared to 81% of individuals receiving placebo. The researchers concluded that the results support the hypothesis that antioxidants decrease genetic damage....
