Rose Absolute was first distilled by the Arabian physician Avicenna during the Middle Ages, and the people of the Renaissance believed that it relieved stress. While the rose's aroma undoubtedly sets a stabilizing mood during times of anxiety and grief, it also exhibits the intoxicating qualities that describe an aphrodisiac. It is not surprising, then, that people feel passionately about this expensive oil, one ounce of which requires 180 pounds of flowers.
Water (aqua), rosa damascena (rose) absolute.
Shake well. Hold bottle approximately six inches away from the body and spritz, or discharge generously into the air.
